Pre-packaged food
This is food that has been sealed in a package when received by the community group, and remaining in that package until sale. Packaging is designed to protect the food from contamination by physical, chemical or biological hazards.
Unpackaged low-risk food
Food that is not pre-packaged but is unlikely to contain harmful bacteria and will not support their growth due to food characteristics.
